Italian giants Lazio are ready to make an offer for Liverpool outcast Fabio Borini, who could finally leave Anfield this summer, twelve months on from rejecting moves to QPR and Sunderland – as the Liverpool Echo reports.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan with the Black Cats, scoring 10 goals, but he’s only played 18 times for us in all competitions since his return – finding the net just once, against Aston Villa in February.

Borini is well accustomed to playing in Rome – having previously enjoyed success with Roma – so could jump at the chance to return to the Italian capital with Lazio, who will be playing Champions League football next season.

We already know that Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and Brad Jones will be leaving us this summer, with their respective contracts expiring this month, while the Daily Express believe that Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert could join Borini on a growing list of player sales.

The Times add that Lazar Markovic could also go, having struggled to adapt to life in English football, as could Jose Enrique, who has been put up for sale despite having just twelve months remaining on his contract.
