Nine out-of-favour footballers who would make good summer signings for Liverpool

Posted by

Asier Illarramendi (Real Madrid)

A player that’s been linked with Liverpool a number of times already. The Spaniard has failed to settle in Madrid, following his move from Real Sociedad two years ago, but has the potential to be a wonderful player. A holding midfielder, who would add some much needed solidity to our team in the middle of the park.

Ciro Immobile (Borussia Dortmund)

The Italian has endured a miserable first season in Germany and hasn’t been helped by Dortmund’s poor form. He scored ten goals in 28 games in all competitions, with just three of them in the Bundesliga, although his record of 23 goals for Torino the previous season means that the striker should still have plenty to offer.

Juan Quintero (Porto)

One of the latest stars off the Colombian conveyor belt of talent. He’s not yet fully established himself in the Porto team but looks to have all the qualities to be a star of the future. He’s still only 22 and would potentially be among the ideal replacements for Raheem Sterling, should he leave this summer.
