Jamie Carragher has posted on Twitter to praise the performance of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva at centre back against West Ham, hinting that he should start in the same position in the upcoming games.
Couldn’t understand Klopp using Lucas at CB in the last few months but looks like he was right! #Colossus

Lucas started off playing at centre back in the aftermath of our defensive injury crisis in early January, and after a couple of shaky performances he seems to be really growing into the roll.
Sure, his distribution still leaves a little bit to be desired, but on the whole his game has been near flawless. As Carra says, #Colossus !!

With Kolo Toure looking every bit of his 34-years-old, Mamadou Sakho struggling to find consistency, and Dejan Lovren injured again, there is certainly a school of thought that says Lucas should be playing more in the back four.
Tiago Ilori has also impressed, and we’d be quite happy to see them given the chance to develop a partnership. It might also give the increasingly impressive Kevin Stewart a chance to get some more minutes in centre midfield.
