Clearly we are all delighted for Daniel Sturridge to be included in Roy Hodgson’s 23-man final squad for the upcoming Euros in France, but it does bring an element of worry along with it.
It was speculated over the weekend that he might miss out; concerns over his fitness combined with Marcus Rashford’s goal-scoring debut against Australia had raised questions in both pundits’ and fans’ minds.

However, Daniel will go the Euros, and will be joined in the England squad by four fellow Reds – Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana, James Milner, and Jordan Henderson.
That’s resulted in fans expressing their worry about his fitness on Twitter; here is some of the reaction:
@GaryLineker Sturridge will probably injure himself cleaning Rashfords boots after training anyways don’t worry lads!

I personally would have took Townsend ahead of Sturridge. He will be 4th choice striker at best, injuries are major worry. #england #EURO16

@tomcentral Sturridge, Henderson and Wilshere all injury-prone which is a worry.

@Lz_wee_bay Yeah, I’d prefer Sturridge but my only worry is that he’s so fragile it will take just one knock and we’ll be left with 3 CFs.

@gregianjohnson @Squawka And any team that includes Sturridge is taking a gamble. Great player, dubious fitness

Sturridge is a huge talent. However, his fitness needs to be questioned.

Sturridge is one of England’s best players. I don’t care about fitness concerns. he can provide moments of brilliance like the Europe final.
