Joe Allen still looks set to leave the club this summer, despite a series of eye-catching performances at the European Championships in France.

Wales surprised many to fend off England and win Group B, with Allen joining Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale as the team’s stand-out performers.

According to the Echo, however, Klopp’s mind is made up and magnificent wee Joe will leave the club this summer as planned.

James Pearce writes that no new contract will be forthcoming for the 26-year-old and that he will be sold this summer rather than letting his final 12 months run down.

He remains behind Jordan Henderson, Emre Can, James Milner in the race for a centre midfield berth. With new boy Marko Grujic also joining the ranks this summer and with Klopp still reportedly keen on Udinese’s Piotr Zielinski, he would probably go into the new campaign as sixth choice if he stayed.

Swansea are thought to be leading the race for his signature, but after a strong EUROs, who knows which teams might come calling.
