Joe Allen is edging ever closer to a Liverpool exit, with it now looking like a switch to Spain’s La Liga is on the cards.

According to the Express, Sevilla are hopeful of beating Swansea to his signature.

Allen only has 12 months remaining on the contract that was signed back in 2012 when Rodgers brought him to the club.

He has become enormously popular with fans this season, but given his lack of game time, it’s clear Klopp is not a huge fan.

Sevilla were reportedly impressed by Allen’s cameo appearance in the Europa League final, and have been watching his progress closely at EURO 2016 in France.

Swansea were thought to be in pole position and the Welshman was believed to favour a return to his old club in South Wales, but could the chance to play abroad turn his head?

All will be revealed in the coming weeks.
