Liverpool fans have been debating whether or not we need to sign a new striker this summer after Crystal Palace made an improved offer of £31.5 million for our Belgian frontman, Christian Benteke.
We rejected a bid of £25 million last week, but it now looks like an agreement has been reached and the 25-year-old will be on his way to London.

Dejan Lovren for captain?
Has Roberto Firmino returned to pre-season overweight?
His imminent departure raises an interesting question – do we have enough strikers?
Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, and Danny Ings are our only three “traditional” forwards who will definitely be at the club next season – though Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino can both play there. Of course, Mario Balotelli is also still on our books.
Here’s what Liverpool fans have been saying:
I believe we need another winger and a left back, then we would be sorted. then maybe a Striker if Balotelli and Benteke get sold.

When we sell Benteke and Balotelli we have to buy a new striker. I wonder who it would be

If we sell both Balotelli and Benteke, which is likely going to happen, do we need another striker? ? #lfc #lfcfamily

@Jameseyyy93 Benteke was strange buy by Liverpool. Doesn't suit system, will thrive in setup like Palace. Proven 15/20 goal striker.

Benteke is genuinely a good striker, but just doesn't fit Liverpool like Carroll didn't. Crystal Palace will have a guarantee 15+ goals

@360Sources Liverpool if the Benteke rumours are true

If you ever feel sad about LFC transfer fees, just remember Crystal Palace could end up with Benteke + Tomkins for £41m..

@BeingBolasie you're actually gonna make Liverpool get a profit from Benteke I'm dead
