If he can start the Premier League campaign in such a manner, we’d be over the moon!
Last night we experienced our trickiest test of the summer so far against Huddersfield, a Championship outfit, but our new German stopper managed to pick up his fourth consecutive clean-sheet and make one very impressive save in the process.

He almost committed an awful blunder versus Wigan last time out, but this stretching one-handed save is far more encouraging!
Simon Mignolet will join up with the squad in America, and it’ll be mightily interesting to see how Jurgen Klopp uses his two keepers during the remaining pre-season matches and more importantly – at the beginning of the Premier League season.
They’re very much competing for the starting role, and we’d suggest that Mignolet would need to improve tenfold to keep his spot between the sticks…
