Truthfully we’re bored of Liverpool’s never-ending left-back discussion.
Jurgen Klopp has chosen to go with James Milner and Alberto Moreno as his options this campaign, and that’s fine by us – we trust the German wholeheartedly.
But this assist from our former left-back Brad Smith, who we sold to Bournemouth during the summer, shows the value in having a player in this role who can swing in a cross with his outside foot…
Milner’s done well in the role so far, but he has to cut back inside before putting in deliveries on his right – which at points, will slow down the pace of our attack. Moreno can cross with his left obviously, but fans are more concerned with what he does, or doesn’t do, in his own half…
Anyway – perhaps we should just enjoy this Smith assist for what it is: an absolute beauty.

Brad Smith’s left-foot is a bit good, actually. That’s a stunning assist. #LFC pic.twitter.com/ZdpDrXa67w
