This video is surfacing of Ovie Ejaria’s performance the other night against Leeds and it’s well worth watching.
While much of the hype was about onrushing fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Woodburn – who became our youngest ever goalscorer – Ejaria was arguably better than both.
He was unbelievably smooth on the ball and used pirouettes and clever body positioning to guard the ball in central midfield. The 19-year-old’s passing was also slick, as was his ability to play clever one-twos to progress the team up the field.
The only criticism can be that he holds onto the ball for too long right now, but his work-rate is excellent and his potential is enormous.
