The eyes of Liverpool fans light up whenever Philippe Coutinho’s name is seen to be mentioned in a sentence at the moment.
It won’t be long before we have the Brazilian back and terrifying opposition defences for us once again.
The gruelling countdown to his return has become a little easier to bare overtime as the forward continues to make progress in his recovery.
Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to Liverpoolfc.com about Coutinho potentially featuring in the New Year’s Eve game against Manchester City.
He said: “It would be cool. I won’t stop him. In this moment he is improving a lot.”
“He is off his crutches since the West Ham game – when we left the stadium he was walking in front without them.”
“We will have to see. No idea at the moment. I never rush a player back. I’m the most patient person in Liverpool. I always wait for someone. I can’t rush it.”

Words don’t do justice when it comes to describing just how significant a boost having Coutinho back for the City game would be.
Even if he only came on as a second half substitution, the return of his presence alone would drive his teammates on.
While Liverpool’s current injury problems are disappointing, they are also a reason to be excited given the level of talent that we have to come back into the squad.
We really cannot wait to see the little magician back in action.
