Liverpool transfer talk: €1m loan offer, five interested in Reds utility man, LFC and Barca keen on Uruguay wonderkid

Empire of the Kop takes a look at the latest Liverpool transfer talk from England and abroad…

Kevin Stewart

The Reds have rejected multiple bids for 23-year-old utility man Kevin Stewart, according to the Liverpool Echo, who report that the former Tottenham Hotspur man has been the subject of interest from Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Aston Villa.

Klopp has no intention of selling Stewart in January, say The Echo, adding that an offer of £6m from an unnamed club was rejected last summer.

Mamadou Sakho

Galatasaray have offered a loan fee of €1m to sign Mamadou Sakho until the end of the season, per AMK.

It seems unlikely that the deal will go through, due to the low valuation and the player’s decision to reject a move to Turkey when Besiktas came calling at the start of the campaign.

Juan Manuel Sanabria

Marca report that Liverpool and Barcelona are interested in Uruguay wonderkid Juan Manuel Sanabria, but Atletico Madrid are said to be closing in on a deal to sign the 16-year-old.

Sanabria visited Liverpool in 2015 and LFC have a strong relationship with his current club, Nacional, having signed Sebastian Coates from there in 2011.

Reds legend Luis Suarez also played for Nacional earlier in his career.
