For the first time in what seems like forever, Jurgen Klopp deployed a midfield trio consisting of Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana, and at the time of writing, it’s working a treat…
In the first-half versus Spurs tonight, it worked brilliantly, with summer signing Wijnaldum the best of the bunch.
The Dutchman showed physical strength to battle Tottenham’s talented midfielders but also showed his class on the ball – assisting Sadio Mane’s opener and producing a jaw-dropping pass afterwards.
How Gini knew Adam Lallana would get onto the ends of this, we have literally no idea!
This is the midfield Klopp must choose going forward.
I could watch this 100 times over….beautiful pass from Wijnaldum. pic.twitter.com/laacaaVeeL
