Of all our loanees this season, Danny Ward is easily doing the best.
The young Welshman is spending the campaign at Huddersfield, playing for Jurgen Klopp’s best friend David Wagner, and has been one of the best keepers in the Championship this term.
This weekend gone, he helped his side to a 2-1 away win at QPR, which keeps his temporary club in third spot, with three fantastic saves.
It’s clear that the 23-year-old is a big talent and we wonder if he’ll get an opportunity at Liverpool next season. Simon Mignolet currently has ownership of the no.1 jersey, with Loris Karius waiting patiently in the wings.
The German will hope to win his spot back at some point and will get pre-season to show Jurgen Klopp he’s up to scratch. Whether Ward will get the similar chance is yet unknown, but more top performances of this ilk will only help.
