Italian journalist makes big Alisson to Liverpool claims

Liverpool fans don’t know what to believe at the moment…

On one hand, English journalists, those we’ve traditionally been told are trustworthy, are adamant that Danny Ward will be given a chance to secure Liverpool’s no.1 spot.

The Echo made the claim a few days ago, but reports in Italy continually state we’re still in for AS Roma’s Alisson.

But Alessandro Austini, who writes for Il Tempo, has stated that Liverpool are leading Chelsea in the race for Brazil’s no.1, that Roma want to sell and the player wants to leave.

Below, you’ll see his tweets and the translation:

TRANSLATION: For the door of Roma, there is also Olsen (Swedish keeper). He’s a concrete goal of Monchi, who followed him before the World Cup. Alisson still between Liverpool (who have an advantage) and Chelsea.

TRANSLATION: Alisson wants to go away and Rome wants to sell.

There would have been a point when we only believed the word of the recognised Liverpool correspondents, but those days are over.

Ever since their leaks caused Southampton to report us to the Premier League over our illegal Virgil van Dijk approach, Liverpool give them far less information.

But foreign journalists have sources at other clubs and it was Guinean reporters who originally broke Naby Keita news and French ones who began the Nabil Fekir discussion (a transfer we still imagine will get done, we add).

What’s more, no Liverpool journalist knew anything about Fabinho before it was a done deal.

So, are we giving up on Alisson to Liverpool? No – absolutely not.
