Gini Wijnaldum has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for March, impressively.
It’s the Dutchman’s first nomination since his switch to Anfield and highlights his upward surge in form over recent weeks.
He’s up against Artur Boruc, Nathan Redmond, Romelu Lukaku, Josh King and interestingly, Mamadou Sakho – our on-loan defender who’s getting Crystal Palace out of the relegation zone singlehandedly…
In March, Wijnaldum has shone against Arsenal, dominating the Gunners at Anfield and scoring a goal, bagged in the home win over Burnley and impressed against Manchester City at the Etihad as well.
He’s well and truly proving he was worth his £25m summer price-tag and we hope his form continues from now until the end of the season.
