Fans have united on Twitter to congratulate Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex on the birth of son Lio George Gerrard.
The Liverpool legend himself took to Instagram to announce the healthy arrival of his fourth child in the early hours of this morning. The subsequent response from Reds was incredible.
Inevitable ‘future captain’ predictions flooded social media as supporters expressed their delight for the Anfield great over the introduction of his first son. Could we yet again see a Gerrard grace the Anfield turf in the Premier League? We can dream.
A truly special day for the former Liverpool skipper, who undoubtedly already has a football waiting at home for Lio.
