(Video) Firmino nets Liverpool’s third after superb Sturridge build up play

Liverpool’s post-season friendly in Australia is quickly diminishing concerns over whether or not it was good for the players so soon after the end of the Premier League campaign.

It has so far treated Reds to a dominant display by Jurgen Klopp’s men, including a masterclass from Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino, in particular.

The pair have been a class above their Sydney FC opponents with Sturridge initially grabbing the opener, Firmino assisting Alberto Moreno’s goal before the pair linking up for the team’s third just before half time.

A familiar chop back onto his right foot from Sturridge just inside the penalty area saw him create space for a cross that Firmino eventually turned home from close range.

Though the Brazilian finished it off, it posed as another standout moment from Sturridge to add to his strong finish to the season. Yet again, the Englishmen is giving fans reason to believe the club needs to keep hold of him this summer.
