Seri excelled in Ligue 1 last term, scoring seven goals and registering nine assists from central midfield, helping his side qualify for the Champions League in the process.
For Liverpool fans though, this news is interesting as we’ve been continually told that Roma are in financial difficulty and need to sell players in order to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations by the end of June.
As a result, we’ve played hardball in our pursuit of Mo Salah, haggling over a fee for weeks in the hope that the Italians will eventually give in to guarantee a cash windfall.
But news that they’re buying a player for the €35m we’re going to spend on Salah suggests they do not need the money as a priority at all.
