Hold on… Isn’t Tiemoue Bakayoko signing for Chelsea…?
The Frenchman has been linked with a £35m move to Stamford Bridge all summer, and today the Telegraph stated that a move was nearly done.
But oddly, the ferocious AS Monaco star liked a tweet today that claimed he’d contacted Liverpool asking us to consider his services after Chelsea and Manchester United rejected him.
“I pity Bakayoko – Chelsea refused, United hesitated – he made calls everywhere, he himself contacted Liverpool, too,” it says.

This is a little confusing!
Liverpool haven’t been linked with his services, and we instead have made Red Bull Leipzig’s Naby Keita our priority central midfield target.
However, the Germans are refusing to do business with us – so eventually – Jurgen Klopp will have to turn his attention elsewhere.
Bakayoko’s Twitter ‘like’ could well be accident though, as it really doesn’t make any sense – unless he knows something we don’t!
If we did randomly trump Chelsea to his signature, it would be quite something, mind!
