Sublime Coutinho/Salah link up play goes viral & triggers fan frenzy

Liverpool fans were treated to another inspired piece of combination play from Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah on Saturday as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win over Hertha Berlin.

The pair linked up superbly in the second half to finish things off for Jurgen Klopp’s men and help extend the club’s unbeaten pre-season run in style.

Salah was introduced as a half-time substitution after goals from Dominic Solanke and Georginio Wijnaldum had given Liverpool a comfortable lead heading into the break.

All eyes were primarily on Coutinho amid speculation linking him to Barcelona, but the Brazilian, who captained the Reds on the day, showed no signs of being distracted as he impressed with yet another classy performance.

The No.10 produced a moment of brilliance to shake off a number of Hertha players in his own half before feeding Salah’s run through the middle with a stunning lofted pass. Liverpool’s big-money summer signing expertly took his chance, lobbing the oncoming goalkeeper with ease.

It was the standout moment in a game full of promising attacking moves and plenty of signs to suggest the Reds will take some stopping going forward next season.
