‘He wears sh** clothes’ – Coutinho ribs worst-dressing Liverpool player

A cheerful Philippe Coutinho (hear that, Spanish press? A cheerful Coutinho) has shed light on who’s who in the Liverpool squad.

The Brazilian opened up to Soccer AM’s Tubes on the club’s biggest characters- revealing the fastest Red, the teacher’s pet, the best dancer and the team’s worst dresser.

As for the latter, defender Dejan Lovren was the unfortunate nomination, with Coutinho struggling to hold back the laughter or the expletives when describing the Croatian’s fashion sense.

“That’s easy, Dejan Lovren! He always wears s*** clothes! How can I say? Bad clothes,” Coutinho told Soccer AM.

Liverpool’s little magician also went someway towards settling an on-running debate amongst fans as he revealed his verdict on who is fastest between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

“I think it’s Mo [Salah]. He’s so fast. You can see on the pitch. He’s crazy,” he said.

Besides this, Coutinho labelled Simon Mignolet as the most intelligent member of the squad, Alberto Moreno as the nut-meg king, Georginio Wijnaldum as the funniest Red, fellow countryman Roberto Firmino as the kitman’s nightmare and skipper Jordan Henderson as the teacher’s pet.

The latter came as something of a surprise, with Adam Lallana having also been burdened with the satirical nickname in the past due to the time he reportedly spends with his manager and neighbour Jurgen Klopp.

One answer that came as no shock was ‘best dancer’, with Daniel Sturridge running out the undisputed owner of that title.
