Following the 3-0 win against Huddersfield last night, Jurgen Klopp made a specific request of the journalists present at his post-match press-conference.
The German asked them to compliment Jordan Henderson for the captain’s excellent performance, frustrated by the constant rhetoric that the England international is ‘not good enough’.
Neil Jones of the Echo tweeted his quote:
Klopp: "Please, write the message. Jordan Henderson is a very good football player. If somebody doesn't see his value, what can I do?"

The skipper played arguably his best match of the season last night, controlling proceedings from deep, passing through the lines and breaking up opposition play.
He was tremendous and it gives us serious hope for the rest of the campaign, now he’s returned to fitness.
Henderson is often analysed lazily as a sideways passer without any creative talent, but he’s a lot more than that. When fully fit, the 27-year-old is a genuine asset to the team – and Klopp knows better than the 16-year-old keyboard warriors who shape the false dissection.
