Tonight’s the night…
Liverpool are hosting Manchester City at Anfield and we absolutely cannot wait.
But unlike there would be in a match between us and a side managed by Jose Mourinho for example, there has been no animosity between the coaches, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
Both men play football the right way and have complete respect for each other.
Guardiola said yesterday on the threat of Mo Salah, our 37 goal attacker, that Jurgen is a ‘master of buying players to play the way he needs’.

What a superb statement. At Liverpool alone, he’s sought out Salah, Sadio Mane, Andry Robertson , Virgil van Dijk and others – due to the way they perfectly fit into his pressing, passing, dynamic style of football.
Salah actually failed in England at Chelsea beforehand remember; while few people thought Mane was worth the money at £30m in 2016.
Now though these players have the ultimate test: trying to beat probably the best team in the world right now, who have the only manager on the planet we’d even consider swapping Klopp with.
City will have plans to deal with Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino, but we have the power of Anfield.
Let’s use it.
