Gini Wijnaldum had one of his games in a Liverpool shirt last night, despite coming off the bench.
The Dutchman only arrived on the field so early because of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s nasty injury, but looked very much like he should have been selected from the outset.
In fact, he’d be the first midfielder on the team-sheet if he regularly produced performances like last night.
He was superb in possession, pressed relentlessly and showed an ability to thread passes forward, too.
This moment though was the highlight. Looking like Zidane or Seedorf, Gini pulled off a roulette centrally and then sprayed a delightful long ball into Mo Salah.
