French reports are heavily linking Lyon’s best player Nabil Fekir to Liverpool today.
L’Equipe [translated by GFNF] state that the attacking midfielder has an agreement with his club to leave this summer, while Canal+ [cited by Sport24] go one step further and suggest Liverpool are frontrunners for his signature.
The original report claims a €65m price-tag has been put on Fekir’s head, following his superb Ligue 1 campaign.

Fekir has predominantly played as a no.10, off a central striker for Lyon, but he’s also been used on the right of a front-three and even in a midfield-three – a similar role Coutinho played this term before leaving for Barcelona.
It would be this position, as a creative, running no.8, that Fekir could thrive in for Liverpool. He’d also be a great option for any of the front-three spots, with the current backup for Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino way below par.
If €65m is the price-tag, it seems reasonable for a 24-year-old who still has all his best years ahead of him.
The French reports are not necessarily the most reliable, so we’ll wait until something proper emerges before getting excited.
But Fekir fits the bill, for us.
He’s got potential to improve, is quick, skilful and has shown big character with Lyon.
Do it, Reds!
