In 30 minutes last night, Mo Salah scored, hit the bar, missed a gilt-edged opportunity and set up his team-mates twice.
The game was Salah’s first of pre-season and against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City – but it was abundantly clear he was in the mood after scoring just 52 seconds after being brought onto the field by Jurgen Klopp.

Salah scored 44 goals last season, but for us, it was no fluke.
The no.11 has such incredible movement and positioning that he probably should have scored more.
We can see him getting plus 30 again in 2018/19, which would confirm his status as one of the very best players in the world.
Provided he stays fit, Salah has the ability and ruthlessness to fire us to Premier League glory, which is his and our goal.
