There’s a new fly on the wall documentary coming out tomorrow which shows behind the scenes footage of Manchester City’s title winning season last time out.

Reminiscent of Being Liverpool, but with footage from the entire campaign, football fans can see what Pep is like on the training ground, the dressing room and much more.

We’ve had a sneak peak and it’s quite revealing. He’s an intense guy and we’d be absolutely fascinated to watch a similar version with Jurgen Klopp (although would rather it didn’t happen after last time!).

In one scene, before the 5-0 defeat at the Etihad last season, Guardiola is shown explaining to how team how to stop our attack, in particular Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

“Today I’m going to explain to you what they do in attack, with the ball – Liverpool,” he began.

“It’s a team who is so good at running – runs in behind – because the men up the pitch are so important.

“Just focus today, when the ball is outside, close the channel. Mane and Salah, play in those positions, so when the ball is here (midfield) they make the move or put the ball here (the channel).

“They are so fast. Even when the (City) full-back has to go, try to make that movement (out wide) to close here, the play here (inside). Okay?”

City won that game, although the scoreline flatters them and was almost entirely a result of Mane’s early red, which changed everything. In fact, we were arguably the better side before he was given his marching orders for an accidental high boot.

Since then though, Jurgen Klopp has had the better of City on three consecutive occasions, once in the league and twice in Europe – so Guardiola’s tactics are hardly a blueprint to automatic success against our forward-line.
