The Egyptian’s wonderful efforts v Tottenham and AS Roma were definitely better, but for some reason, his strike against the Toffees was chosen in the shortlist for the Puskas award – given to the ‘best goal’ scored anywhere in the world last campaign by FIFA.
Last night, the striker actually won at the Best Awards, much to the rage of opposition fans everywhere!
It was a supporter vote though, so it wasn’t like it was fixed, just like Salah has unbelievable backing from Egyptians and Reds around the world.
James Milner hit Twitter after the announcement and congratulated his team-mate, before claiming the Everton goal was only Salah’s 7th best of 2017/18!

Both Milner and Salah will probably be rested midweek for the EFL Cup Tie with Chelsea, but will be back in the team for the crucial Premier League tie with the same opposition on Saturday.
