Reds rejoice after fantastic injury update

We were convinced Naby Keita would be out for a very long time after seeing him leave the field on a medical cart last night.

The Guinean looked in severe discomfort and was immediately rushed to hospital, where he spent last night.

But Sky Sports have claimed that he’s actually totally fine after having his back issue assessed and is even in contention to start against Manchester City at the weekend…

Now, we’re almost certain Keita won’t play at Anfield on Sunday, at least not from the outset, following his very strange 15 minute performance last night.

Keita’s touch was off, as was his passing, positioning and ability to come away with the ball in 50/50s.

We’re mostly just glad though that he’s ok. He’s still learning his role for Liverpool and when he does, we have no doubts about what he’ll be able to offer the side.

At the moment, it’s not quite running for him, but most of his team-mates were equally poor last night during the remainder of the game.
