Dejan Lovren has been linked with a January move to Spanish giants Barcelona by Mundo Deportivo.
The Croat has been displaced in the Reds starting XI this season thanks to the brilliant form of Joe Gomez, but even so, it would be surprising to see him be allowed to depart.
After Ragnar Klavan was allowed to leave in the summer, many thought the Reds were short of cover as it was, while Lovren is not someone who most would expect to be associated with a move to Barcelona.
LFC hit with latest injury scare
Barca are currently injury-stricken with Samuel Umtiti out for a number of weeks; Thomas Vermaelen, injury-prone at the best of times, is also currently out injured, hence the Nou Camp side’s interest.
The 29-year-old has not always been a fans favourite, but Jurgen Klopp likes Lovren and it would be surprising to see him leave, especially to Barcelona.
Philippe Coutinho last January, Lovren this? We wouldn’t bet on it.
