Jurgen Klopp will leave it as long as possible to decide whether Sadio Mane can feature against Huddersfield, with the winger returning from international duty with a hand injury.
Klopp said on Friday: “Three days ago, Sadio came home, it was diagnosed. At the moment I have no clue what he can do with the brace on.
“We will see what he wants to do. It’s all about the player. If he thinks he can play then I need to make a decision about how it looks.”
It sounds like the decision will be left largely to the player – and you would think he’d be desperate to get onto the field.
Klopp won’t take any risks, but Jamie Vardy played for ages with a cast on his wrist, so there doesn’t seem to be much danger of Sadio being out for long, if at all.
