This was one of the funnier moments on Monday Night Football yesterday evening!
Ahead of Sunday’s Liverpool v Manchester United clash, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville picked their combined XIs, which predominantly featured Reds rather than Red Devils.
For some reason, Neville selected Paul Pogba as his holding midfielder, with Gini Wijnaldum and Naby Keita either side, much to the dismay of Carra and presenter David Jones.
“He’s the most undisciplined player of all time!” says Carra, with Neville admitting that he hasn’t selected the Frenchman in the team ‘”with much conviction”!
Really, Wijnaldum should be holding, as he has done for Liverpool on various occasions this season, with Pogba and Keita either side.
On the basis of this term’s performances though, the World Cup winner shouldn’t be in consideration and Xherdan Shaqiri should get a spot in the team instead.

"I didn't pick him with much conviction, to be honest…" 😂
