Jose Mourinho insists he was right to sell Mo Salah when he was manager of Chelsea – but says he now can see he’s a world-class player.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Mourinho said: “I think he developed incredibly well at every level: physically, amazing development. He was a fast, fragile boy – now he is a fast, strong man.

“He was psychologically not adapted, coming direct from a small club in Switzerland to a big club in England, and in the Premier League, it was too much.
“I played him at the Etihad and it was too much for him – now he plays anywhere, against any team. He’s a fantastic player, completely different from the player we brought from Basel.”
It’s nice to hear that Mourinho accepts Salah is a top player – but how could he not? Hopefully, the Egyptian King can score against his former boss today to further underline the point.
‘Fragile’ is certainly not a word that can be attributed to Salah today under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
