Jurgen Klopp channelled every Liverpool supporter around the world as he celebrated Saturday’s 4-3 win over Crystal Palace.

The Reds boss pulled out his trademark fist pump after watching his side restore a seven point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

It proved a fitting reaction after a somewhat exhausting afternoon in which the hosts’ title credentials were put to the maximum test by Roy Hodgson’s men.

Liverpool went behind against the run of play in the 34th minute when Andros Townsend met Wilfried Zaha’s cross to finish off a sweeping counterattack.

A fierce second half response saw early goals from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino turn things around, before Palace drew level thanks to a James Tomkins header.

39-year-old Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni was then guilty of a dreadful error, mishandling James Milner’s cross to give Salah a tap-in on the line.

Sadio Mane then thought he had calmed lingering nerves with a composed finish to make it four, until substitute Max Meyer pulled another goal back for the visitors.

Despite a late surge from Palace, Liverpool were able to see out an invaluable victory.

Klopp’s post-match reaction typified a thrilling Anfield occasion…
