It looks like we may be making a move for Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente this summer – that’s according to reports in Spain.
Basque outlet, Noticias de Gipuzkoa, claim that the Reds are in for him after his recent performances in La Liga impressed our scouts.

It’s his performances at the back that have apparently drawn the eye, with the 25-year-old recovering from an ankle injury at the end of 2018 to cement himself as a regular part of Sociedad’s defence.
Like most players in La Liga, Llorente has a release clause. His is priced at €50m but, since the Basque side picked him up on the cheap for €7m when he arrived from Real Madrid in 2017, we could probably get him for a lot less.
It’s likely that Llorente is being targeted as a replacement for Joël Matip, but the Spaniard can also play as a defensive midfielder – that kind of versatility is something Jürgen Klopp is keen to fill his squad with.
Keep your eyes on this one, Reds!
