Brighton and Hove Albion’s season is effectively over – they’re safe from the drop and have played some of their best football since ensuring their safety.
They’ve got one more obstacle however, and Liverpool will be hoping and praying that they’re able to pull a miracle off for us.
The Seagulls face Manchester City in their last game of the season – if they’re able to take points off the Citizens then a win against Wolves at Anfield is all it’d take for the Reds to be crowned champions of England.
Unfortunately, it seems some of Brighton’s players are already behaving as if the season is over. Fair enough they don’t need to get a result against City and a loss is probably expected, but it’d be nice if they took it seriously.
ESPN FC presenter Adrian Heale claims several players have spent three nights out on the town in the lead up to their final game.
“I’ve got a mate who’s a Brighton fan who informs me that several of the Brighton players have been spotted out on the town for the last three nights in a row,” he’s quoted as saying by the Express.
I’m a Liverpool fan and I want Brighton to get a result against City, so I’m a little annoyed that they’ve already started slacking off, but I can appreciate the lads deserve to celebrate after their season.
I just hope they’ve had a few Jägerbombs!
