Liverpool reignite interest in Fekir, according to Lyon-based outlet

The tale of Nabil Fekir and Liverpool Football Club has taken a fresh twist as a Lyon-based news outlet has suggested the Reds have reignited their interest in the forward.

Le Progres are the ones reporting this news – with them claiming that Jurgen Klopp is again interested in the World Cup winner as Lyon’s asking price has dropped significantly.

Last summer it was reported that the French giants wanted in excess of £60million for their talisman, as per the Daily Mail, but the Reds baulked after a medical exam.

Le Proges’ report suggests that Liverpool’s upcoming friendly with Lyon at the end of next month may pose as an opportunity to iron out the deal.

The Reds have been linked with a host of attacking talent lately – Federico Chiesa and Nicolas Pepe come to mind – and with so much smoke there has to be a fire.

More updates on the Fekir and Liverpool situation are expected to follow with developments, according to the same report.

It’s hard to tell what’s happening with this one – while it’s clear the Reds were interested in Fekir, it’s extremely unclear if that interest is still there after walking away last summer.

One thing is for sure – this one looks as if it’s going to stretch two summers so get yourselves strapped in.
