London club want Liverpool man to replace Man United signing – report

Crystal Palace are keen on Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne to replace Manchester United’s latest signing, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The London club will struggle to get in a player close to Wan-Bissaka’s quality, but Clyne has a lot of experience and it’d be wise of the Eagles to go for him.

It’s TEAMtalk who are suggesting Palace are looking at the Liverpool man, but they also mention that Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson is another target.

Clyne has previous with Palace – having played over 130 games for the club in his youth, and would surely welcome a move back down south after finding himself on the fringes at Liverpool.

The full back is still just 28-years-old, and has a lot ahead of him, it’d be a shame if he were to rot away on the bench at Anfield or spend his best years on loan.

Spanish outlet SPORT claim Liverpool are keen on Real Betis’ Junior Firpo as they look to strengthen their defensive options after Alberto Moreno’s contract wound down.

A new left-back needs to be better defensively than Alby, but content to wait for his opportunities, while also pushing the Scotland skipper in training – 22-year-old Firpo could be ideal.

If the rumours are to be believed, the only thing standing in our way is the Dominican-born defender’s reported release clause of around £45million – as per ESPN.
