Borussia Dortmund are now odds on favourites to sign Reds winger Harry Wilson this summer, ahead of the new likes of Newcastle United and Aston Villa who were thought to be leading the race last week.
According to the Hull Daily Mail, Dortmund are priced at 8/11 via Skybet, with Villa 4/1 and Newcastle 8/1.
Wilson scored seven times in 11 starts for Hull City on loan before he then went to Derby County and netted 18 times last season under the guidance of Frank Lampard.
The Reds value Wilson at £25 million but Jurgen Klopp is also eager to keep the winger around. With no reinforcements incoming in forward areas, and with limited options as it is, it makes a lot of sense to keep Wilson at the club for another season.
If an offer comes in that is too good for the club to turn down and he feels he can go elsewhere and get more game time, however, then something might be done.
Jadon Sancho has done excellently well in Germany at Klopp’s former side, so it could be a great switch for the Welshman. The Reds will need to have some form of buy-back clause inserted, though, or they might live to regret it.
