Mo Salah looked incredibly sharp from the get-go yesterday against Manchester City, and we’re still not quite sure how he didn’t find the back of the net.
The Egyptian hit the post twice, had a shot cleared off the line and was a thorn in City’s backline throughout.
Last season, Mo started quietly, although he still managed to end the campaign with 27 goals to his name – but this term we reckon he’ll hit the ground running…
His finishing wasn’t brilliant, but his speed of thought, decisiveness and dribbling was exceptional.
What’s more, Roberto Firmino put in an excellent performance as well, so with Sadio Mane back today in time for Norwich on Friday, things are looking up…
We’d like to see Naby Keita in the midfield for the Anfield clash with the Canaries, which will increase our creativity from central areas, too.
With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson providing crosses from deep, we’ll hopefully be able to carve out a number of chances for Salah to get on the end of!
