Liverpool are reportedly ready to keep Ryan Kent at Anfield if there aren’t any appropriate offers made for the winger.
Jurgen Klopp is hoping to get an offer which will see the forward join another club on a permanent basis – and he’s doing that with the player in mind.
The boss wants Kent to find himself a new club where he can settle, but is willing to keep him at Anfield if no offer arrives on his desk that he’s happy with.
This news is being reported by the Daily Record – the Scotland-based newspaper is likely to have formed links with the player’s entourage after his year with Rangers.
The ‘Gers would have been my first pick if I had to guess where Kent would end up, but Liverpool’s asking price for the winger has been deemed too high by the Glasgow club.
Opinion
It wouldn’t be the worst thing for the Reds if Kent were to stick around, but the lad likely doesn’t have a future at Anfield. It’d be best if he’s moved on, for his own good.
If Liverpool are listening to offers for Harry Wilson then I find it quite difficult to imagine the young Englishman finding a way into the senior squad.
