Galatasaray are reportedly confident of signing Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri in the January transfer window, and are sending two officials over to England next weekend.
That is according to Turkish outlet Fanatik (via Sport Witness), but their report also claims that Jurgen Klopp will have final say on the move.
The Turkish giants are reportedly in the market for a winger, and the Swiss flyer has apparently been identified as a realistic target for Gala.
The Fanatik report goes on to say that Shaqiri is open to the move, and the club are willing to take him on loan with a view to buy.
This is a weird one – the main thing is obviously the player’s well-being so I hope he makes the right decision for him, but he’s a useful squad player for Klopp.
The Merseyside Derby is case and point, with the winger playing a big part in the game by finding the back of the net – even more impressive when you consider how little he’s played.
It’s likely Shaq will get some more game time over the next month, with the Reds’ busy schedule, but long-term he may want to consider his options.
