Gianluigi Donnarumma made headlines after confronting Liverpool fans in the stands who called him a “cheat”.
The Italian goalkeeper returned from the tunnel to chastise a section of Reds supporters in the aftermath of Manchester City’s 3-0 win at Anfield on Sunday.
The Sky Blues secured the lion’s share of the points after capitalising on Ryan Gravenberch’s second yellow card with a 13-minute blitz at L4.
Gianluigi Donnarumma and Man City need to take their medicine

You can understand why Manchester City players and Enzo Maresca are keen to separate themselves from the independent commission’s guilty verdict.
It’s not their money nor their allegedly illicit activity that has funded the City project. However, it is their quality – enabled by the foundation of such illicit activity – that has allowed the Sky Blues to be a competitive outfit at the top of English and European football for well over a decade now.
Donnarumma himself has been part of a City side that completed a domestic cup double, lifting both the FA Cup and League Cup in Pep Guardiola’s final season in charge.
Whether the former PSG star likes it or not, his hands are a little dirty as a byproduct. His hands have gripped tainted silverware that could yet be stricken from the club’s record.
The 27-year-old shouldn’t be held personally responsible for City’s ills, but he and his colleagues should be far from surprised by the outpouring of rage that will now be commonplace in English football whenever Manchester City are involved.
The Premier League needs to deliver closure imminently

Consider this a taster of what to expect in the coming months.
But the biggest threat to the Premier League isn’t this inevitable outpouring of emotion; it’s the rapidly impending apathy that will overshadow the English top-flight.
Because while Donnarumma’s City continues to sweep all aside and sit at the top of the Premier League table while boldly asserting its own innocence, rival fans are left with no choice other than to question what exactly the point of all this is.
Why should any of us care about a product that allows Manchester City to carry on, post-verdict, as if nothing had happened?
Forget fixing this mess before City inevitably win silverware later this season. The Premier League needs to deliver sanctions with immediate effect and restore faith in their product.

MAN city should have been suspended and not allowed to play until outcome of penalties was decided. The Board should be disbanded and a new board made up of Ex Man City players should be convened
what use is disbanding the board abd appointing former players to replace them ? the replacements would most likely be ex players WHO WERE AT THE CLUB DURING THE TIME THE ALLIGATIONS COVER ,so would be just as guilty by association . i dont buy this b.s. that they knew nothing of what was going on , ive been around football all my life and talk in the changing room would be about contracts ,whos getting what ,what little extras, bonuses are on offer etc , THE ENTIRE CLUB IS TAINTED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM !
the correct punishment should be an immeadiate expulsion from the english leagues dissolvment of the entire club and a wholesale ban on clubs being owned by states or state entities ,( give ANY other club owned by a state or state entity 12 months to find new owners with no connection to the current one ) also a BAN on state sponsorship or state owned companies sponsorship .
The Premier League has become a joke. If we as individuals commit a crime we are sent to prison.
Why is a club or business different. I’m not a lawyer but this stinks. Watching the Cheats gloat on Sunday and we can’t do anything about it some thing is wrong with the Premier League set up.
Chelsea did this as well and wasn’t really punished at the time.
Heads need to roll at the top of the tree in the Premiership, FA and why can’t the PGMOL be held responsible for their decisions every week gaining Man City points. It’s blatantly obvious.
Man City’s and Chelsea’s have obviously been paying officials as well. The whole set up is a money making Scam.
They should all be looked at top to bottom by an individual Governing Court.
Sorry for carrying on a bit, the anger inside of a lot of us LFC fans has not been vented out yet.
you only have to look at the make up of the pgmol to see there something dodgy about it , for the last 5 or more seasons a large number of appointed officials at ALL LEVELS are from the greater manchester area 3 seasons ago it was around 6 or 7 manchester affiliated refferees association members on a panel of 23 , headed up by howard webb !
I think man city players should stay humble, eh
That boldness of pöp gyärdiola shows is outrageous and Criminal act for us!!!
