Idrissa Gueye knows exactly how good Sadio Mane is for a few reasons…
Firstly, they play together for Senegal, and secondly, his Everton side were on the end of Mane’s 94th minute Merseyside Derby winner back in December!

Both are currently away with their country at the African Cup of Nations, and both ourselves and Everton are desperate for Senegal to lose to get our important players back to Merseyside ASAP!
Unfortunately for Jurgen Klopp and Ronald Koeman, Senegal have won two out of two, mainly because of Mane’s goals in both matches – meaning they’ve qualified for the knockout rounds.
While Gueye appreciates his team-mates attacking qualities, he’s getting pretty peeved by his lack of tracking back!
“We know how good they are,” said Gueye about Mane and Lazio winger Balde Keita, reported in the Echo.
“But sometimes it’s difficult because they don’t defend.
“If they score and we win the game, it’s not a problem, but if we lose, we will kill them!”
This makes us laugh, because Jurgen Klopp would never let Mane get away with hovering up top without putting the work in…
With his country, he obviously takes a few more liberties!
