It’s happened again, Reds.
Liverpool battered Leicester in the first-half tonight, but somehow ended up 2-0 losers, which sees us knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
We had all the ball and all the chances early on against the Foxes, but simply couldn’t put it in the back of the net.
This happened against Manchester City, Sevilla and Burnley – all of whom scored first and stopped us winning… Our last victory was against Arsenal, back in August.
Coutinho was withdrawn at half-time and Liverpool’s stranglehold on the game vanished.
The Brazilian was easily the best player on the field, but without him, we lacked any central control, with replacement Ben Woodburn struggling.
Naturally, Leicester scored with their first and second chances.
It’s simply not normal for this to keep on happening…
But sadly, we don’t know the answer.
Here’s some of the angry reaction on Twitter:
That’s Liverpool out of the League Cup, then. 2 shots and 2 goals from the hosts, who’ve been rubbish all night.
