Likely Liverpool XI v Chelsea: Van Dijk, Wijnaldum return

The Reds will be looking to bounce back from midweek defeat to Chelsea on Saturday evening with another match-u[ with the Blues – and this is how they could line up.

Jurgen Klopp made wholesale changes on Wednesday – eight to be exact – and the likes of Gini Wijnaldum, Mo Salah and, hopefully, Virgil van Dijk will return.

The Dutch defender has a hurt rub, but the boss has indicated that he’ll likely play through the pain barrier and alongside Joe Gomez.

In midfield, Jordan Henderson is almost certain to start ahead of Fabinho, with Wijnaldum and James Milner either side. That has been Klopp’s go-to trio so far, although Naby Keita has been impressive at times.

Up front, we all know which three will start – that is beyond debate – while Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold will play at full-back and Alisson will come back in between the sticks.

That team should have enough to get all three points at Stamford Bridge, maintaining our position at the top of the Premier League.
