One of our favourite things about Mo Salah’s goal tonight was that he took on the brilliant Kalidou Koulibaly and made the giant Senegalese look quite silly.
Koulibaly is genuinely one of the best centre-backs on the planet, and for the first half an hour, was man-marking Salah and probably coming out on top.

This resulted in rival fans taking to Twitter to celebrate Salah’s apparent failure, but the Egyptian answered them in jaw-dropping fashion!
In the 35th minute, Salah turned Napoli’s left-back and then skinned Koulibaly alive, before finishing through David Ospina’s legs.
It gave Liverpool a 1-0 lead, which was deserved after the balance of play throughout the first-half.
Salah now has four goals in two games and is on 13 for the campaign overall, making him our top scorer by some distance.
