After coming on for the injured Mo Salah, Divock Origi was introduced and became the late goal hero yet again by meeting Xherdan Shaqiri’s free kick with a glancing header in the 86th minute to keep our title hopes well and truly alive.
In the beIN Sports studio, John Barnes ecstaticly celebrated Origi’s goal, echoing the wild celebrations from Reds fans the world over.
Seated next to him, his colleague Andy Gray was unmoved and didn’t even look up at the crazy scenes being played out in front of him. It was a hilarious contrast of moods.
Barnes is every Reds fan right now, Andy Gray the sighing embodiment of every other football fan.
