Carlsberg Follow Up

The Daily Mail is reporting that Banking giants Standard Charter will be replacing Carlsberg as the Liverpool shirt sponsor from the 2010/11 season.

The deal is said to be worth £15 million a year compared to the £8 million the club receives now from Carlsberg. I actually had the Carlsberg amount wrong yesterday, It is £8 million and not £1.5 million as I originally mentioned.

  1. after so many years seeing the familiar Carlsberg logo on the shirts i cannot picture other logo on them. I think i will go get my Liverpool FC kit soon, before they change the logo.

  2. Im getting my Black shirt any day now, and will be buying my red with Gerrard our hero printed on it before they remove carlsberg.. “probably the best beer in the world.. with the best team in the world”..

  3. there are way to many jokes that could be made up about the name and the type of company ,but it is only a matter of time before Carlsberg goes.you cant print it on the kids kit and there are way to many european coutries were you are not allowed to advertise alcohol. It does not work for the sponsor or for us and at that price in this day and age Carlsberg have been getting away with a bargain
